Lois Brock and Jennifer Bainbridge won their section in the QLD Open Pairs Qualifying, while Bradley Rolls won his section in the Men’s Singles played at Darebin City Bowls Club.
Lois and Jennifer played in the set’s play competition and won each of their games in straight sets wins. Brad won his section with four sets won over his three rounds.
The men’s singles were allocated seventeen (17) places for the Victorian qualifying round; other winners can be seen on the Bowls Australia web site Successful Qualifiers.
Only two places were allocated to Victorian Women’s Pairs winners for a place in the QLD Open, the other winners on the day were: Donna Clarke and Veronica Kelly who also won their sections.
Brad, Lois and Jennifer will fly to Ipswich to play in the QLD Open on Saturday the 30th of July, the Berwick Bowling Club would like to wish both Lois, Jennifer and Brad and all other successful qualifiers every success in the tournament.
