AER Mixed Pairs Challenge final was completed tonight in a battle between Lois and Andrew Brock against Val and Tony Wynen. The game was a thriller with the two teams even on the 4th, 9th, 11th and 15th ends, taking the game to an extra end to decide the winner.
The bowls put down by all members were brilliant and Tony Wynen, three shots down, playing his second bowl dead drew onto the jack. Andrew fell short on his last bowl, and with the win guaranteed Tony put the last bowl in his pocket.
Spectators where applauding shots throughout the game for both teams and enjoyed a great display of bowling.
Well done to both teams giving a very good display of quality bowling and congratulations to Tony and Val Wynen who will now be offered the chance to play off in the Regional Finals of the AER Mixed Pairs Challenge.
